So heres my story...
About 8 weeks ago (2 more days then it will be 8 weeks)
l was leaving a party... As l went l kissed some girls goodbye, One of them came down from upstairs to give me a kiss
Well it turns out that the girl who cam from upstairs was giving a BJ to a boy....
Now l was worried that mabey his semen could of transfered from her lips (Or tounge) onto my lips... l didnt open my mouth but l cant remember now if she opened hers... Anyway l was more worried if the seamen could get into a little cut or opening inside my mouth by me licking my lips after the kiss
Some people told me im at no risk beacuse the air etc would have killed the virus...

But to be on the safe side l decided to go for a HIV DUO test at 6 weeks, It came back negative
While waiting for my result for the DUO l also went for a rapid one (Nerves got the better of me) and at 7 weeks the rapid test was negative...

l havent really had any symptoms, Ive had some pains in my groin, A sore throat and noticed my tongues a wierd grey colour (But then again ive never studied my tongue so much) but apart from that nothing (No swollen nodes in my neck etc)

l was just wondering , Do you think l was at risk? How reliable are my tests? (How close are they to 100%) Ive heard that the HIV DUO test at 6 weeks is 98% reliable.... (Again is this true)

You are probably fine. It is not very likely that there was any semen left in her mouth to pass on to you.
You are very concerned about your health and thus picking up on any little symptoms you might recognize as part of your sickness. Chances are you are perfectly fine and have nothing to worry about.
Relax!!

Honestly l do not think u were ever at too much of a risk...If HIV was ''that'' easy to get, there would be a whole lot more people with the virus....At 6 weeks an HIV test is very reliable...However, the virus can live in the human body for up to 6 months undetected... But l really do not think u need to be worried about that...OH!....But u do need to be worried about who u kiss!!!!!! What kind of girl would give u a kiss right after she just got through giving someone a bj?....That is just nasty & wrong....That girl should be ashamed of herself!

Relax, u were not at riks of contracting HIV from this scenario because:

1) Most people do not have HIV. So it is very unlikely that the girl, or the boy were HIV positive.

2) Even if they were HIV positive, HIV virus cannot survive in a hostile environment like mount & when exposed to air.

3) Even if we consider that the virus did survive (which is extremely unlikely), then this scenario is like oral sex with ejaculation in the mouth, which carries a risk of 1 in 10000 per single episode. Some professionals even believe oral sex does not transmit HIV. We r being conservative & saying that the risk is 1 in 10000, which is very low & approaching zero

4) Forget about all of the above points, with ur negative test at 7 weeks & the very low risk exposure that u had, u can be almost certain that u do not have HIV. The guideline says to test after 3 months for conclusive test. Go & get tested at 3 months. It will be negative.

5) Symptoms r NEVER indicators for HIV infection. You have a negative test, u do not have HIV.

6) ur test at 7 weeks is about 98% realiable. You r correct on this one.

MOVE ON. YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV. l bet ur result at 3 months will be negative too. But u need to get the conclusive negative result at 3 months to put this entirely behind u & move on.

Stop worrying about it. You should be ok.
