l have slept with 2 girls total. My current gf is the first one without a condom (shes on birth control) .We've been together for 2 months, and about a month ago l noticed inflamation around the penal area. l first didnt think anything of it. But recently had a second outbreak (2 red blisters that hurt), and after doing research l think it is herpes. I am really depressed because there is no cure, and l do not wanna live with it. l scheduled an appointment with a doctor. How to l bring this up to my gf? l do not wanna assume its from her. But I've never had symptoms before. And the time between her and my previous gf was extensive. What is the best way to do this? Is it possibe her or l were infected and did not know? l dont go for physicals, but is it possible her gyno didnt catch it?
Also, if it is herpes, what is it like? How good is the treatment? I am at least happy its not the one that shows up around the face. But the idea that l now have to tell every girl l ever get involved with about me having STD is is a very depressing though.
Also, yes l know it was stupid not to get tested beforehand. Unfortunately this is after the fact.

honestly this is something you shouldve talked about b4 doing the deed this is why know matter what you should always wear protection b/c alot of people are dishonest and arent gonna tell you the truth anyways l hope everything goes well for you and turns out ok and if so let this be lesson always wear protection

You should wait to see what the results are from your Dr visit. As far as gf goes, if she has no outward blisters, her GYNO would not have any reason to suspect herpes, STDs are not routinely tested for during an anual exam. If the pt requests them, they can be done.

This is why it is important to ALWAYS use a condom..you just never know

well herpes can be transferred even without a outbreak. you have to tell every one now. l know it sucks. but that is the respectful and responsible thing to do. you need to get a cream for the sores and there are pills out there if you have bad outbreaks often. you need to see a dr. also condoms are not 100% safe and remember you can spread herpes without an outbreak. good luck

This way her mind will stop wondering. Tell her that u went to the doctor because of some blisters, & they told u it was herpes. THEN, when she looks crazy or starts crying explain that u had no idea (since u didn't) & just found out.and that u wanted to tell her so that she would not think u were being a jerk. NOW, she may take it wrong, & l am sure she will, but let her know immediately.it will not kill her AND she may not have it. Usually people get herpes, & never know for decades!! Also, let her know, she did not give it to u & that there was NO way of u knowing u had it, because u would have told her otherwise.

Now, herpes is symptoms vary. You may never have a symptom of blisters here on out, or u may get them often. The best treatments l heard of was the one that can prevent breakouts for a long period of time.it is a commercial (just google treatments for herpes). It is very depressing, & sometimes terribly discouraging. A condom will not prevent it from spreading to a girl. BUT, now u just have to keep a girl longer until u think she'd be mentally strong enough to share that u have it. Always say, l did not want to do anything with you, unless u knew & were okay. Most people do not know about herpes, so learn about it. People r comfortable when they know they're not going to die & may not get it if exposed. Almost 1 in 4 people in the world have it & most of them do not know it!!!

Do not feel stupid. Condoms cannot protect u from herpes. It can do a 50% job because herpes can be on the outside of the p***s & outside of the vag*na. So, just take it one day at a time! And do not feel stupid. Some people just do not know they have it!

Given the information that u have two painful open sores on ur genitals its safe to say that yes u do indeed have genital herpes. Do not worry u r not alone 1 in 4 women & 1in 5 men in the united states have genital herpes. l know this may seem devastating to u at this point in time but that is only because u r not fully educated about this virus. There is medication that u can take to suppress the virus hence causing fewer outbreaks (highly recommend valtrex or acyclovir) herpes as u already know is a life time virus that will unfortunately never go away =/.

l have had genital herpes for over a year now (my ex had oral herpes & after having oral sex a few days later l woke up with painful sores all overr). It was extremely devastating (he was the only person l ever had sex with && all l could wonder is how could this happen to mee). We were both virgins & very naive (we didnt even know cold sores were a form of herpes). A few months after finding all this out we broke up. l then became depressed & wondered how anybody could ever want me && how in the world am l going to explain to someone that l have an STD. after l tell them that they r just going to run awayy.but l was wrong.

l started talking to my ex of 4 years ago again after breaking up with the guy who have me herpes & he was perfectly fine with it. We even had unprotected sex (i was taking valtrex at the time). Sooo there is hope. Your girlfriend will understand trust me. Odds r she probably gave it to u without even knowing she had it. (if either of u ever had a standard std test u know herpes is NOT tested on those). Both of u should go the doctor & ask for a blood test for the herpes simplex virus just to be positive.
