So, just a thought that kinda scares me. Because mosquitoes bite more than one person, if one bit someone with, say, AIDS and then bit you and a little bit of the blood got mixed up, could you contract a blood born virus? or would there have to be more blood mixed than that in an insect?

These insects suck your blood, they do not inject blood into your body.

If a mosquito landed on an open wound, and you swatted him, and he had just sucked infected blood, then maybe you could catch an STD, but there are no known transmissions this way.

Not likely, mosquitos do not have enough blood inside them to get into you, besides, their little stinger is too tiny to inject blood, they do not throw it up when they bite you, just swat them away if you are scared of getting hiv positive blood on yourself.

More than likely no. The mosquito would have to inject blood via an open sore, or genitaly. Since the virus cannot live for several areas outside of human warmth, the chances would be VERY, VERY slim. To catch an STD you would either catch it by intercourse or blood to blood contact. Think about it, if this were true, then you'd be catching virsuses (other than crabs) from toilet seats. The viruses simply cannot live outside of the body for that long.
