okay...i kno this person and they had sex with protection but has gonorrhea...i jus wanna kno should their partner get checked too

Yes their partner should get checked. Safe sex e.g. condom is not a 100% way to prevent stds. That person may have infected their partner, and its best to get tested so that if they did contract the disease they can get immediate treatment, instead of later finding they have it through symptoms.
