ok 1st it might be a yeast infection, but the only way to know is if you visit the doctor, but there is a thing called vaginal something l dont rememeber the name it can detect if you have a yeast infection. if you dont want to tell ur mom go to planparenthood, its free and u dont need a parent to go call them up and get some information
good luck and hope u feel better

It COULD be an STD, or it could be a yeast infection.

You -need- to go to the doctor. If it is a sexually transmitted disease, it could get worse to the point that it is fatal. If u catch it now, it could be cured with some medication.

Just tell ur mother you're having girl troubles & u need to go to the doctor. You will need to be honest with him or her, though, since they will need to know exactly what happened. You do not need to have ur mother in the room with you, but if you're at an age where u can not be honest with ur mother, chances r you're too young to be having sex in the first place.

It could be Vaginal yeast infection or Vaginities. You should not have any unprotected sex with new persons & u should go to a Doctor immediately for treating it otherwise it may lead to STD or AIDs which r nasty diseases.

Vaginal yeast infection -- often includes a discharge that is white & curd-like. Vaginal yeast infections can be brought on by antibiotics, birth control pills, pregnancy, menstruation, condom use, sexual intercourse, diabetes, & a weakened immune system.

Vaginitis -- inflammation, itching, discharge, & odor caused by other infections (including sexually transmitted diseases). Vaginitis in girls before puberty is common. If a young girl has a sexually transmitted vaginal infection, however, sexual abuse must be considered & addressed.

To prevent & treat vaginal itching:

Avoid colored or perfumed toilet tissue & bubble bath.
Avoid feminine hygiene sprays & douches.
Change out of wet clothing, especially wet bathing suits or exercise clothing, as soon as possible.
Cleanse the area by wiping or washing from front to back (vagina to anus) after urinating or having a bowel movement.
Eat yogurt with live cultures or take lactobacillus acidophilus tablets when using antibiotics. Check with ur doctor.
Keep ur genital area clean & dry. Use plain, unscented soap.
Keep ur blood sugar under good control if u have diabetes.
Lose weight if u r overweight.
Wear cotton panties or pantyhose with a cotton crotch. Avoid panties made from synthetic materials. For infants & toddlers, change diapers often.

It is also helpful to:

Avoid overexertion, heat, & excessive sweating.
Avoid scratching, which will only aggravate the problem.
Delay sexual activity until ur symptoms get better, or use a lubricant during intercourse.
Use condoms to avoid catching or spreading sexually transmitted diseases.
If u know that u have a yeast infection because ur symptoms r exactly the same as those you've had in the past, try over-the-counter creams or vaginal suppositories.

Yeast infections r not considered sexually transmitted. However, sometimes men also develop itching & redness following sexual contact. If this is the case, or u get recurrent infections for unclear reasons, both u & ur partner may require treatment. Talk to ur doctor.

Yeast infection.
Latex allergy to the condom.

Doctor.

You can get yeast infections without being sexually active so mom may not be as suspicious as u think. But if u let this go it will get worse. Just let ur mom know that u have been irritated for a few days & it is really starting to be uncomfortable. She will take you.

l had a friend get irritated from the swimming pool. It happens.

Not having sex would have prevented all this stress too.

You have to go to the doctor. It is the only way to figure out what is going on with your body.

Sometimes Moms are a lot more understanding than we give them credit for. l know because l am a Mom and l have a 16 year old.

l think you should give her the benefit of the doubt and let her know that you're not feeling well and that you need to see the doctor.

u must go see doctor so u would not be at risk. definitely not yeast infection, yeast infection did not cause vagina swollen, it was std, could be herpes. good luck!!
