l got tested today with the ORALQuick mouth swab test, got results in 20 minutes, result was NEGATIVE.It is been 6 months since l had unprotected sex.Should l go back and get a blood test?Planned Parenthood did not wanna give a blood test unless this test came up negative, but do you think l should go back and request another swab test AND have them draw blood?If so, how long should l wait?

No l dnt think u should go back & get tested again. HIV is a worldwide epidemic & the tests for it to determine if u have it have become very much more advanced then they were years ago. l dnt think u should get tested but if its bugging u that much then go ahead & get a blood test. wen ppl r diagnosed with HIV most likely they have had it for at least 2 to 3 months already becuz HIV in its first stages r hard to detect. if ur r active then maybe wait at least a month or so, but l dnt think u will get a different answer. If the orasure test wasnt accurate doctors will not use it

if it will ease your mind, go get retested. the swab test is very accurate and after 6 months if you did have the virus, it would have shown up by now.

HIV test after 3 months of possible exposure is conclusive. You r way after the window. Congratulations! u r HIV negative. Now it is time to move on with u life & do not even think about it another time. Put the unprotected incident behind u & MOVE ON. l know how stressful it was for u to go through this & get tested. It is time to enjoy life & relax. You do not deserve to live in fear for the rest of ur life.

HIV NEGATIVE MEANS NEGATIVE. You r 100% negative & there is no question about it. From now on, use condoms when u do not know the status of ur partner. Good Luck!

Those SWABS were found faulty! Dont EVER trust the results, Go and have your blood drawn. If the AIDS/HIV virus lies in your mouth like that, cant you receive from kissing and drinking after others!
