Could HIV and AIDS be transmitted by doing blowjobs? or only by having actual sexual contact? Are those diseases transmitted hereditary? Also what are the main symptoms?

Oral sex is a low risk activity for contracting HIV (lower than unprotected anal & vaginal sex). The risk is estimated something around 1 to 10000 per exposure. There has been no CONFIRMED reported cases of HIV transmission through oral sex. Some studies suggest that it is no risk & some studies insist that HIV can be transmitted through oral sex. These studies r very difficult to perform as u do not know if the infected person was involved OLNY in oral sex or he/she had other exposures as well.

To summarize, there is a small risk but the risk is very low. If u r concern, l suggest u talk to ur doctor & see what he/she suggests. Some doctors do not recommend for testing & some doctors do recommend. It really depends on type of the exposure & ur medical records. So the best person to decide is ur doctor.
