So about a month ago l was diagnosed with Chlamydia and was given Azithromycin (the antibiotic) to take care of it so that it would go away.

l attend college in a different state, but l am not positive that it went away so l called my doctor today and she said l could set up another STD test appt., but that was not really necessary because the medication should have cleared it up.

Then, yesterday, l unfortunately found out that the guy l had been fooling around with has HIV (l am not sure if he had it when l was with him, as he told me he didn't, but who knows) but l never did it unprotected with him and the only way it could have been transmitted to me is through oral sex, but two months after that happened, l was tested and it said l was negative for HIV.

l kind of itch down there a lot lately, and I am really scared it just did not show up on the test as it can remain dorment for a while. What should l do? Or am l freaking out over nothing because l heard the chances of HIV being contracted through oral sex was roughly 2.8% and the cases where that has happened was minimal.
l did catch a cold within the past week but that was because I've been hanging around someone a lot who has it and everyone is starting to get it...so l really hope that is not a sign!!!

you could just have a yeast infection.

it probably did go away and now you have a yeast infection from the antibiotic, it happens all the time, dont worry

If you've been tested after you had oral sex with him, and the test came back negative, then your fine. By all means though, get tested again so you can ease your mind. l am sure you've heard it from your friends and your doctor already, but next time have a little more respect for yourself and be careful! You are the only one that is responsible for you.

Try not to stress so much (hard l know) but honestly stress will only make your worry even worse and stress always turns the physical things worse off as well. If you are this concerned about it then go straight to your doctor and get a full panel blood test with STD testing included. Have it done twice more if it makes you feel better. Keep any sexual contact with others to a minimum and always stay protected.. oral and all! Best of luck to you and take care.

Go get tested for everything again just to be sure. Get tested for hiv again in six months, better safe than sorry. (if you think that there is a chance that you have been exposed, getting retested in six months is a must. )

Ask your doctor to do the test they have to draw blood to determine. Sometimes it doesnt always show up on the swabs. l hope everything turns out good for you.

If you believe that you have been diagnosed wrong, then get retested. You should be tested for HIV every 6 months anyways. As for the itching.doubt that it is HIV. Wash thoroughly with soap and water and use an yeast infection medication, that should clear it up. As for the boyfriend having HIV.be sure to pass along to him to tell everyone that he slept with about his status. Good luck.

First things first stop stressing, go back to the doctor is and find out what else could be the cause of your discomfort. It may just be something minor like a yeast infection ( l do not recall itching being a symptom of HIV/AIDS, l have studied when first infected it comes on with flu-like symptoms).

you can ask your doc to give u a script for the itching and retes u for variuos stds...i think u are kind of over reacting a little bit but, if l were in your shoes l would prolly act thhe same wya..just be positive and pray for the best possible out come....and if you ask me l really dont think you have anything other than maybe a yeast infetion or something samll like that

first of all im pretty sure itching is not a sign of hiv. as hiv rarely has symptoms. BUT even if you did have sex with him, even with a condom there is a chance you could get it. they are not 100% effective for protecting you from anything. hiv included. if l were you l would get tested again. for you own piece of mind. good luck and hopefully you know the person better next time.

Go to the Student Health Center and talk to someone. They can follow you and make sure that you are ok. Do not spend your time just worrying.that does nothing to help. Knowledge is power, find out all you can about what is going on with your body. Good luck.
