l had unprotected sex with my boyfriend at the end of July. Shortly after that l started having yeast infection like symptoms. l treated it over the counter and it cleared right up. He left town and when he came back we had sex a few more times- that was about 2 or 3 weeks ago and now l am having what reminds me of a urinary tract infection. l feel the urge to go right away and almost constantly but not much comes out. l have slight pain in my lower belly and l also have a really strong odor when l do pee, its not fishy or bad, its just odd. Is this a coincidence or does he have an STD that l keep getting from him. This is the exact way it started when l thought l had a yeast infection. The itching came later but as soon as l treated it, all my symptoms were gone and stayed gone until this morning.
Oh and l do not know if it is relevant or not, but l had a hysterectomy a few years ago, so l know it is not any kind of pregnancy issue.

From what ive read, if u have an actual STD over the counter remedies usually dont work. So if they have been working for u then u probably dont have one. But l would go to the doctor to make sure.

sounds like the clap or a bladder infection, go to a doctor.

Go to a doctor, he will prescribe some anti-biotics if you do. Also dump your boy-friend since he is probably cheating on you see how he is getting this infection from another girl....or guy.

It could be a number of things.sometimes condoms can create that same effect (although u do not use any).or if he is not very up on hygiene..you could simply just have a urinary tract infection (which sometimes happens when u do not have sex for long periods of time & suddenly get back into the saddle).

HOWEVER, l tell u the same thing I've told other similar questions..if in doubt, why do not u just get tested!?!?!?

Instead of seeking advise on !, go see ur generalist at the soonest time possible..

l am sorry, l know its probably not easy to deal with & l do not mean to be aggressive or rude.its just more logical to go straight to the doctor & get the proper diagnosis & treatment..

Without getting tested, there is no way to know. Agree with people above, go see a doctor.

it could be just a uti or bladder infection. if your worried then get checked out at the doctor. that is the only way to tell for sure if u have any thing.

He may be carrying the yeast infection as well. While you cured yours, he may still have it and simply passed it on back to you. Make sure he gets treatment for the yeast infection as well, or else you will just continue to pass it back and forth to each other.
